Translation prices, pricing
Our agency treats translation as a complex service, thus it makes a custom price quote for each assignment. Of course, we use unit prices, but mapping the translation need, thinking over the translation process and the amount of available discounts all affect the final amount. This justifies custom price quotes for each assignment.
Our agency only charges a premium for urgent translations in exceptional cases (translation on bank holidays or at night), the amount being subject to quantity and deadline.
Pricing unit
Since 2009 our agency has charged its fees by source language words.
Benefits
- When pricing by source language words, we not only give an indicative price, but an exact single price before translation begins.
- The exact price helps clients decide more quickly, accelerate the quoting process and, last but not least, the agency gets down to work sooner.
- Our prices can easily be compared with those of foreign agencies. This is an important consideration for multinational and other companies that also hire foreign agencies.
We prepare translations using MemoQ translation support software. When preparing offers we take into consideration overlaps and repetitions between our previous translations and give a discount on the affected sections in proportion to the amount of repetition. Non-textual parts (numbers, images, program codes) are not included in the final amount.
Thus, we can guarantee our regular customers a uniform terminology and, last but not least, favourable prices.
The number of source words can easily be checked in Word, under the Tools/Words menu.

Revision
Revision means checking of the content and language of the target text by a native reviser or peer reviewer. We do three types of revision and charge fees accordingly:
| 1. Full revision | Revision fee |
|---|---|
|
The reviser compares the target text with the source text and corrects its language, content and style. |
50% of the translation fee |
| 2. Partial revision | Revision fee |
|
The reviser checks the target text for language, content and style, with random comparisons with the source text. |
30-40% of the translation fee |
| 3. Proofreading | Revision fee |
|
The proofreader checks the target text for grammar and style. |
20% of the translation fee |
- We issue revised translations with proofreader’s marks as requested.
- Our project managers check each translation for spelling, format them to fit the source text, and insert all editable images and charts in the right place. This service is free.
- We revise client translations and prepare a reviser’s opinion as requested.
We deliver translations to our clients via e-mail, fax, mail or courier.
We also offer the translation of texts recorded in audio or visual formats, text summaries based on customer criteria, desktop publishing and printing house arrangements.
