The owners of EDIMART Translations have been providing translation and interpreting services with a high level of expertise and responsibility since 1994.

We offer the translation and proofreading of written materials from any field of interest at the highest linguistic standards and reasonable prices with excellent references, and provide simultaneous, consecutive, liaison and sign language interpreting services.

We also perform the localisation of websites, software and on-line games. A key priority of the localisation services we provide is to adapt translations to local conditions; we truly believe that user requirements should receive the utmost attention as they need understandable, user-friendly instructions, menu options, help items and other descriptions in the specific linguistic and cultural environment.

In addition, we also offer the post-editing of high volume machine translations as long as the main priorities are clarity of content and rapid turnaround rather than impeccable language solutions. EDIMART’s clients include multinational companies, international translation agencies, SMEs and private individuals alike. In each case, we aim to satisfy a wide variety of customer needs by consistently providing high quality work and delivering a complex service to make our clients feel that they are important to us.

We act not only as an intermediary between clients and translators, but also provide first-rate background work.

EDIMART is rapidly growing; in 2011 we worked in a total of 40 languages with the collaboration of 250 translators and interpreters. In-house and freelance translators, outstanding native proofreaders and peer reviewers as well as on-staff project managers all contribute to workflows.

EDIMART’s range of translation assignments includes websites, technical documentation, contracts, warrants, litigation materials, annual reports, business plans, EU professional materials, political speeches, tender materials, presentations, marketing and PR materials, instruction manuals, owner’s manuals, introductory materials, official documents and textbooks.

To keep up with the constant changes in the translation industry and the possibilities offered by technological innovations, EDIMART has been using MemoQ translation support software since 2007. This makes for translations that are prepared even faster and more consistently, with improved quality and lower overall cost.

MemoQ enables any number of translators and proofreaders to work on the same material and see each other’s work in a server environment. This ensures high quality and professional project management even with tight deadlines.

As a result of globalisation, companies increasingly strive to sell their products to international markets and are inevitably faced with the diversity of markets as well as language and cultural differences. Traditional translation in itself often proves insufficient; indeed, user requirements should receive the utmost attention as users need understandable, user-friendly instructions, menu options, help items and other descriptions in the specific linguistic and cultural environment. Localisation serves precisely these purposes; it covers not only the professional translation of software, websites, on-line games and other instructions, but also their adaptation to local conditions.

In 2012, as a brand new service, we offer the post-editing of machine translations. Interpreting

EDIMART provided 54 simultaneous interpreters in five language pairs for the 30th World Congress of Vine and Wine, and 22 simultaneous interpreters in 12 language pairs for the FRONTEX Board Meeting.

Our interpreters work alongside middle and senior managers of multinational companies on a daily basis to facilitate their day-to-day communication. EDIMART interpreters are also available to ensure seamless information exchange between the employees of numerous Hungarian and foreign factories and plants.

In addition, EDIMART regularly interprets at conferences, business negotiations, government and EU events, official and private meetings, in factories, at exhibitions, cultural events, on live television programmes, and at professional courses, presentations and weddings. EDIMART also offers conference call and over the phone interpreting services.

Our agency regularly assists various companies in their daily contact and correspondence, and provides assistance, in general, to companies in the fast, accurate and reliable execution of a wide range of verbal and written business communication.
